Bunge, Chevron to Build New Oilseed Processing Facility in Louisiana

03:30 AM EST, 03/05/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Bunge (BG) and Chevron ( CVX ) will build a new oilseed processing plant in Louisiana as part of a final investment decision for their Bunge Chevron Ag Renewables joint venture, the companies said late Monday.

The plant, which is expected to be operational in 2026, aims to add scale and efficiencies to the venture and allow it to meet increased market demand for renewable fuel feedstocks.

The facility is anticipated to create more than 150 construction jobs and add 30 new positions when it becomes operational, the companies said.
