BuzzFeed Partners With The Independent in UK, Ireland

12:34 PM EDT, 03/28/2024 (MT Newswires) -- BuzzFeed ( BZFD ) and Independent Digital News & Media said Thursday they signed a multiyear license and strategic partnership deal in the UK and Ireland, combining publishing, data and ad-tech platforms to expand their commercial offerings and editorial scope.

With the deal, The Independent combines BuzzFeed UK, Tasty UK, Seasoned and HuffPost UK into one operation, the companies said in a statement.

BuzzFeed's ( BZFD ) UK staff, both commercial and editorial, will move to The Independent, according to the statement.

Financial terms weren't disclosed.
