Dec 17, 2024 7:54 AM

10:41 AM EST, 12/17/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Byrna Technologies ( BYRN ) said Tuesday it plans to increase its launcher production to 24,000 units per month from next month, up 33% from the current capacity.

The ramp-up will be achieved by adding two full shifts at its Fort Wayne, Indiana facility, with more capacity available on Saturdays when needed, the firm said.

Byrna ( BYRN ) also said it will begin producing its payload ammunition at a new facility just five miles from its launcher factory.

The company said that these initiatives are part of its "Made in America" strategy, adding that it plans to exit China in the next six months and to source 100% of the components for the Byrna SD domestically by the end of 2025.
