06:01 PM EST, 11/20/2025 (MT Newswires) -- California Water Service Group ( CWT ) said late Thursday its unit has filed a request with the Hawaii Public Utilities Commission to raise water and sewer rates for its Kapalua water and wastewater systems.

The request, the first since the company's acquisition of the systems in 2021, attempts to increase revenues by $2.2 million to offset rising purchased water costs, higher operating expenses and the cost of completed capital investments.

The water utility expects the new rates to become effective in the second half of 2026, if approved.
