06:16 AM EST, 01/07/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Cal-Maine Foods ( CALM ) reported fiscal Q2 earnings Wednesday of $2.13 per diluted share, down from $4.47 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by FactSet expected $1.95.

Net sales for the quarter ended Nov. 29 were $769.5 million, compared with $954.7 million a year earlier.

Four analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $796.6 million.

For fiscal Q2, the company said it will pay a dividend of about $0.72 per share, payable Feb. 12 to shareholders of record on Jan 28.

Shares of the company were up nearly 5% in recent Wednesday premarket activity.
