Canada to Update Manufacturing PMI, China's Tit-For-Tat Retaliation, Notes Scotiabank

07:59 AM EDT, 09/03/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Canada will see a manufacturing PMI at 9:30 a.m. ET on Tuesday, noted Scotiabank.

China is retaliating against tariffs on Chinese electronic vehicles (EV), steel and aluminum with a tit-for-tat probe into Canadian exports of canola. The macro effects are negligible outside of the sector, stated the bank.
