Capital Clean Energy Agrees to Sell 5 Container Vessels

04:57 PM EDT, 09/23/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Capital Clean Energy Carriers ( CCEC ) said Monday it has agreed to sell five container sister vessels to a third party, for an expected total book gain of $118.4 million.

The vessels include the M/V Hyundai Prestige, M/V Hyundai Premium, M/V Hyundai Paramount, M/V Hyundai Privilege, and M/V Hyundai Platinum, each with a capacity of 63,010 deadweight tonnage, or DWT, and 5,023 twenty-foot equivalent unit, or TEU, built in 2013 by Hyundai Heavy Industries in South Korea.

All five vessels are debt-free, and the cash proceeds from the sale will be used to pay debt and for general corporate purposes, the company said.
