MEXICO CITY, Oct 17 (Reuters) - U.S. automaker General
Motors ( GM ) said on Thursday that it fully supported the Mexican
government's push to strengthen supply chains in the region,
though it declined to "respond to speculation about future
plans."
Mexico's deputy economy minister had said on Wednesday that
GM and Taiwanese tech giant Foxconn would announce plans
to swap out imports to Mexico for production in the country
later this month.
