07:21 AM EDT, 09/10/2024 (MT Newswires) -- United Parcel Service ( UPS ) said Tuesday it signed a deal to acquire healthcare logistics providers Frigo-Trans and its sister company BPL.

The transaction is expected to close in Q1 next year. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Frigo-Trans provides temperature-controlled warehousing and freight forwarding services, UPS said. The acquisition would "enhance UPS's end-to-end capabilities throughout Europe for UPS Healthcare customers who increasingly require temperature-sensitive and time-critical logistics," UPS added.
