Celsius to buy energy drink brand Alani Nutrition in $1.8 billion deal

(Reuters) -Celsius Holdings ( CELH ) said on Thursday it would buy energy drink brand Alani Nutrition in a $1.8 billion deal through a combination of cash and stock.

The deal includes a net purchase price of $1.65 billion and $150 million in tax assets.

Alani Nutrition, founded in 2018, is a female-focused brand that delivers functional beverages and wellness products.

The Wall Street Journal first reported the news on Thursday.
