Oct 31 (Reuters) - Cenovus Energy ( CVE ) posted a fall
in third-quarter profit on Thursday, as lower production and
throughput volumes weighed on the Canadian oil and gas producer.
The Calgary, Alberta-based company's net income fell to
C$820 million ($589.17 million), or 42 Canadian cents per share,
in the three months ended Sept. 30, from C$1.86 billion, or 97
Canadian cents per share, a year earlier.
