07:58 AM EST, 03/07/2025 (MT Newswires) -- CenterPoint Energy ( CNP ) said Friday it has completed more than half of its planned near-term "critical resiliency" actions and grid improvements since Fall last year.

The energy delivery company installed poles, automation devices, underground power lines, and reduced hazardous vegetation, adding that it aims to complete these actions before the start of hurricane season on June 1.

The improvements are part of CenterPoint's phase two Greater Houston Resiliency Initiative.
