04:23 AM EDT, 10/09/2024 (MT Newswires) -- CenterPoint Energy ( CNP ) said Tuesday it plans to utilize predictive analytics and artificial intelligence to better prepare its assets in extreme weather-prone regions as part of a $21 billion commitment to boost resilience over the next five years.
The company unveiled a memorandum of understanding with Technosylva to deploy AI and machine learning to strengthen resilience and prepare for extreme weather.
No financial details of the deal were disclosed.
Technosylva's "software performs hundreds of millions of extreme weather simulations daily to generate current and near-term risk forecasts" in real-time, allowing customers to predict and identify areas of concern.
