02:15 PM EDT, 07/22/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Century Aluminum ( CENX ) said Tuesday it has closed its $400 million private offering of 6.875% senior secured notes due August 2032.

The notes were issued at par of principal amount, the firm said. It plans to use the net proceeds to refinance its 7.50% senior secured notes due 2028 and repay borrowings.

Shares of Century Aluminum ( CENX ) were up nearly 2% in recent trading.
