Century Aluminum Extends Power Deal With Santee Cooper

04:28 PM EDT, 10/06/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Century Aluminum ( CENX ) said late Monday it has signed a power agreement extension with Santee Cooper to secure a stable power supply for its Mt. Holly smelter through 2031.

The firm said its plan includes a $50 million investment to restart idle capacity, boosting production by 50,000 metric tons and increasing US aluminum output by 10%.
