StoneCo Divesting Linx, SimplesVet
Jul 22, 2025 5:13 AM

07:48 AM EDT, 07/22/2025 (MT Newswires) -- StoneCo ( STNE ) said Tuesday it is divesting assets within its software segment after evaluating strategic alternatives over the past year.

The company said it sold SimplesVet to PetLove for an enterprise value of 140 million Brazilian reais ($25.1 million). The consideration will be paid in cash, comprising an upfront payment and fixed installments over three years.

StoneCo ( STNE ) also signed a deal to sell Linx, along with certain other software assets, to TOTVS for an enterprise value of 3.05 billion reais, plus the assets' 360 million reais estimated net cash position, for a total of 3.41 billion reais. The sale remains subject to certain closing conditions and regulatory approvals.

The transactions are intended to unlock shareholder value, streamline operations, and increase focus on its core growth strategy, said StoneCo ( STNE ). The company said detailed plans for the proceeds will be announced upon closing.

StoneCo ( STNE ) also said the remaining assets of its software segment will either be integrated into its core products or be operated independently while the company evaluates their strategic fit and potential for long-term value creation.
