05:30 PM EST, 12/30/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Champion Iron ( CIAFF ) after trade on Tuesday said a third-party train derailment that occurred on the rail line used to ship iron ore from the company's Bloom Lake mine to the port of Sept-Iles on the evening of Dec. 28 (Montreal time) is "not expected to result in material impacts on operations at Bloom Lake and sales of high-purity iron ore concentrate".
No injuries were reported, and rail service is expected to resume within seven to 10 days, the company noted.
"Assuming Railway services restart as planned, the disruptions are not expected to result in material impacts on operations at Bloom Lake and sales of high-purity iron ore concentrate," the company said.
Champion Iron ( CIAFF ) added that it is working with the Quebec North Shore and Labrador Railway and local partners to reduce disruptions and will provide updates as needed.
Shares in CIA rose 1.8% today.
