Oct 31 (Reuters) - Cheniere Energy reported a
fall in its third-quarter profit on Thursday, hurt by lower
liquefied natural gas (LNG) margins.
Natural gas prices had fallen in the quarter from the
previous year due to higher global inventories and lower demand
forecasts, pressuring margins for LNG producers such as
Cheniere.
The company's LNG revenue was at $3.55 billion in the
quarter ended Sept. 30, compared with $3.97 billion a year
earlier.
Net income attributable to Cheniere was at $893 million for
the quarter, compared with $1.7 billion a year ago.
