China's Vice Premier He Lifeng meets with Apple's Tim Cook, Xinhua reports

BEIJING, Oct 16 (Reuters) - China's Vice Premier He

Lifeng met with Apple ( AAPL ) CEO Tim Cook in Beijing on Thursday, the

official Xinhua new agency reported.

The two met as part of a boarder meeting between the vice

premier and members of an advisory board for Tsinghua

University's management school. Cook is the chairman of the

advisory board.

He urged the members to play the role of "bridges and

links," while Cook reiterated his pledge to boost investment in

China, according to Xinhua.
