Ciena Appoints Lawton Fitt as Board Chair

07:42 AM EST, 12/12/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Ciena (CIEN) said Thursday it has appointed Lawton Fitt as board chair, effective Dec. 11.

Fitt has served as a Ciena director since November 2000, the company said.

Patrick Nettles, who decided to step down as executive chair, will not stand for re-election at the end of his term at Ciena's 2025 annual shareholders meeting, it added.
