Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $0.79.

Total revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30, expressed as the sum of net interest income and noninterest income, was $1.90 billion, down from $2.01 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $1.94 billion.

The company said its board maintained its quarterly dividend at $0.42 per share, payable Nov. 13 to shareholders of record as of Oct. 30.

Shares of the company were down 1% in recent Wednesday premarket activity.
