09:37 AM EDT, 08/19/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Comet Lithium ( XTRRF ) on Tuesday said the exploration program at the Elmer East Project in Quebec returned high caesium and lithium assay values from a newly discovered pegmatite dyke.
A trend to the east of the dyke discovery spanning over six kilometres returned very good potassium-to-rubidium ratios, confirming the high prospectivity of the property, a statement said.
The flagship sample returned lithium values of 8,640 ppm Li, 1.86% Li2O, caesium 23,100 ppm, 2.46% Cs2O and rubidium of 3,810 ppm, or 0.42% Rb2O.
Across the property, seven samples returned rubidium values over 1,000 parts per million (ppm), with three exceeding 2,000 ppm.
"Discovering such extraordinary caesium and lithium grades at surface, during our first exploration program at Elmer East, marks a transformational milestone for Comet Lithium ( XTRRF )," said Vincent Metcalfe, chief executive officer. "Caesium grades of this magnitude are exceptionally rare and represent a strategically important critical mineral, particularly when combined with significant lithium values."
The company's shares are up $0.005, to $0.18, on the TSX Venture Exchange.
