Markets: United States Treasuries recover in late New York session on weaker equities, ultralong futures slide, short end gains in Asia on Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook firing headlines. The US dollar (USD) dips only briefly. Asian equities and e-minis weaken. Oil softer, gold supported.

Fed: President Donald Trump fires Fed Governor Cook "effective immediately," quoting "sufficient reason" that she made false statements. Cook refuses to resign, says Trump "has no authority" to fire her.

Fed: Federal Reserve Bank of New York President John Williams says "the era of low r-star appears far from over."

Fed: Fed Bank of Dallas President Lorie Logan expects "temporary pressure" in money markets around quarter-end.

Tariffs: Trump threatens fresh tariffs and export curbs against other nations' digital services taxes, says the U.S. has "much bigger and better cards" than China, threatens 200% tariff if China doesn't supply magnets.
