SANTIAGO, Dec 10 (Reuters) - Copper production in
October from Chile's state-run miner Codelco, the world's
largest producer of the metal, was unchanged from the same month
last year at 127,900 metric tons, data from copper commission
Cochilco showed on Tuesday.
Copper output at the BHP-controlled Escondida mine rose
22%during the month to reach 108,000 tons, while at the
Collahuasi mine, jointly run by miners Glencore ( GLCNF ) and Anglo
American, production of the key industrial metal fell nearly 10%
to total 49,500 tons, the data showed.
