Coupang to Reportedly Invest Over $2 Billion in Next-Day Delivery Service

04:02 PM EDT, 03/27/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Coupang ( CPNG ) plans to invest 3 trillion won ($2.22 billion) in the next three years to expand its next-day delivery service nationwide, multiple sources reported Wednesday.

The investment includes over eight new fulfillment centers and advanced automation technology to improve operational efficiency, according to the reports.

The South Korean ecommerce company plans to expand its so-called rocket delivery service to cover the whole country by 2027.

Coupang ( CPNG ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
