CSX Q1 Earnings, Revenue Dip

04:15 PM EDT, 04/17/2024 (MT Newswires) -- CSX (CSX) reported Q1 earnings late Wednesday of $0.46 per diluted share, down from $0.48 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected EPS of $0.45.

Revenue for the quarter ended March 31 was $3.68 billion, down from $3.71 billion a year earlier. Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $3.67 billion.

Shares of the company were more than 1% higher in after-hours activity.
