08:41 AM EST, 01/02/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Curtiss-Wright ( CW ) said Thursday it has bought Ultra Nuclear and Weed Instrument, collectively known as Ultra Energy, for $200 million in cash.

The company said the acquisition is expected to expand Curtiss-Wright's ( CW ) footprint in the commercial nuclear market, adding products for plant life extensions, modernization projects, and support for small modular reactor designs in the US and Europe.

Ultra Energy, which reported $65 million in sales in 2023, is expected to contribute to Curtiss-Wright's ( CW ) earnings per share in its first full year, excluding purchase accounting costs, and deliver a free cash flow conversion rate exceeding 100%, Curtiss-Wright ( CW ) said.

Ultra Energy will be integrated into Curtiss-Wright's ( CW ) Naval & Power segment, it added.
