DallasNews Agrees to Be Acquired by Hearst for $14 a Share; Shares Rise 217% Pre-Bell

08:39 AM EDT, 07/10/2025 (MT Newswires) -- DallasNews ( DALN ) and Hearst said Thursday they have signed a deal under which the latter will acquire DallasNews ( DALN ) for $14 per share in cash.

Shares of DallasNews ( DALN ) were up 217% in recent premarket activity.

The boards of both companies have approved the agreement, the companies said, adding that they plan to complete the deal in Q3 or early Q4.

Upon completion, DallasNews ( DALN ) will become a private company and its shares will no longer trade on Nasdaq, the companies said, adding that The Dallas Morning News will join Hearst Newspapers.
