Aug 20 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers,

acquisitions and disposals were reported by 0930 GMT on Tuesday:

** Alaska Airlines said its proposed merger with

Hawaiian Airlines has cleared a regulatory obstacle with

the U.S. Department of Justice, just days after it agreed to

extend a review period of the $1.9 billion deal.

** Canada's Gran Tierra Energy ( GTE ) offered to buy

British oil and gas producer i3 Energy ( ITEEF ) in a deal valued

at 174.1 million pounds ($226.35 million).

** Veteran media executive Edgar Bronfman Jr. submitted a

roughly $4.3 billion bid to take over Paramount Global ( PARAA )

through the acquisition of National Amusements, the family

holding company that owns a controlling stake in the media

company, a source told Reuters.
