Oct 24 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers,
acquisitions and disposals were reported by 0930 GMT on
Thursday:
** Keurig Dr Pepper ( KDP ) has struck a deal to acquire
energy-drink maker Ghost for more than $1 billion, the Wall
Street Journal reported, citing people familiar with the
matter.
** Czech defence and industrial firm Czechoslovak Group
(CSG) said it will acquire IFF's nitrocellulose business
in Germany and the industrial park where it is located, part of
expansion in chemicals serving the defence industry.
** Eramet has bought out Chinese partner Tsingshan
in a lithium project in Argentina that is about to begin
production, the French miner said.
** U.S. fund KKR is buying a 25% stake in Italian
energy group Eni's biofuel business Enilive, in a deal
that values the unit at 11.75 billion euros ($12.7 billion)
including debt.
** Japanese conglomerate Seven & i Holdings ( SVNDF ) laid
out a growth plan that focused on its core 7-Eleven convenience
stores and avoided any mention of a $47 billion takeover bid
from Canada's Alimentation Couche-Tard ( ANCTF ).
** Asset manager HMC Capital ( HMCLF ) will acquire Global
Switch Australia in A$1.94 billion ($1.29 billion) deal, the
Australian firm said, as the company looks to tap into the
booming data centre sector.
** Qube's ( QUBHF ) deal to buy Melbourne's RoRo terminal has
raised concerns, Australia's competition watchdog said, as it
would potentially gain further interest in a part of the
automotive delivery supply chain at the Port of
Melbourne.
** Offshore drilling provider Transocean is in
talks to merge with rival Seadrill Ltd ( SDRL ), Bloomberg News
reported on Wednesday, citing people familiar with the
matter.
** Shell plc ( SHEL ) said on Wednesday its unit, Shell
Energy North America (SENA), has agreed to acquire RISEC
Holdings, the owner of a 609-megawatt gas power plant in Rhode
Island.
