Feb 19 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers,

acquisitions and disposals were reported by 1030 GMT on

Wednesday:

** Switzerland's EFG International said it had posted

a net profit of 321.6 million Swiss francs ($356 million) in

2024, an increase of 6% from the previous year, and that it was

acquiring Swiss private bank Cité Gestion.

** Swiss technology firm Softwareone expects to close

its acquisition of Crayon Group ( CRAYF ) in June, earlier than

its previous guidance for a closure in the third quarter, it

said.

** Japanese trading house Mitsui & Co ( MITSF ) said it would

acquire a 40% stake in the Rio Tinto-operated,

Rhodes Ridge iron ore project in Western Australia for $5.34

billion to strengthen its long-term earnings base.

** Buyout firm Silver Lake is in exclusive discussions to

purchase a majority stake in Intel's ( INTC ) programmable chip

business, Altera, a person familiar with the matter told Reuters

on Tuesday.

** Payments processor Shift4 has agreed to buy travel

and retail-focused financial technology platform Global Blue ( GB )

in a deal valued at $2.5 billion, the companies said on

Tuesday.
