May 4 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers,
acquisitions and disposals were reported by 1200 GMT on Monday:
** Electrical equipment maker Hubbell said it had
agreed to acquire peer NSI Industries, a portfolio company of
Sentinel Capital Partners, for $3 billion in cash.
** Spanish energy group Repsol has agreed to sell a 49%
stake in its largest portfolio of renewable assets in Spain to
the United Arab Emirates' Masdar, newspaper Cinco Dias reported
on Monday, citing unidentified sources familiar with the talks.
** GameStop ( GME ) proposed on Sunday to buy eBay Inc ( EBAY )
for about $56 billion in a cash-and-stock deal, with CEO Ryan
Cohen saying he was prepared to take the bid directly to
shareholders should eBay's ( EBAY ) board be unreceptive.
** Belgian biopharmaceuticals company UCB has agreed to
buy privately-held Candid Therapeutics in a deal worth up to
$2.2 billion, the companies said on Sunday.
