Descartes Acquires PackageRoute for US$2 Million

07:50 AM EDT, 06/19/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Descartes Systems Group ( DSGX ) on Thursday said it has acquired PackageRoute, which provides "final-mile" carrier solutions, for US$2 million cash.

U.S.-based PackageRoute offers a mobile and web-based platform that provides real-time visibility into package deliveries, route optimization, and fleet management. PackageRoute's software integrates with pickup and delivery data, to help contractors and drivers operate more efficiently.

"PackageRoute works primarily with subcontracted delivery service providers working as agents for larger carriers," said James Wee, general manager of routing, mobile and telematics at Descartes. "We believe PackageRoute customers can get substantial value from our integrated Descartes GroundCloud routing, safety and compliance solutions."
