11:08 AM EDT, 06/03/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Diana Shipping ( DSX ) said Monday it has signed a time charter contract with Aquavita International for the m/v Electra, one of Diana's Post-Panamax dry bulk ships.

Diana said the gross charter rate was set at $14,000 per day, less 4.75% commission, for a minimum period starting later Monday until Oct. 15, 2025 and a maximum period of up to Dec. 31, 2025.

The contract is expected to generate about $6.9 million of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period, the company said.
