10:18 AM EDT, 08/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Diana Shipping ( DSX ) said Monday it signed a time charter contract with Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha for the m/v G. P. Zafirakis Capesize dry bulk vessel, expected to begin on Sept. 9.

The shipping company expects the contract to generate about $18.5 million of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter.

Diana Shipping ( DSX ) shares were up over 1% in recent trading.
