09:46 AM EDT, 08/13/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Dicks's Sporting Goods (DKS) early Tuesday disclosed plans to build a new, 800,000-square-foot regional distribution center in Fort Worth, Texas, expected to eventually support operations at more than 100 of the retailer's stores across several states.

Once complete in early 2026, the new facility will have around 300 fulltime employees and complement existing Dick's distribution centers in Arizona, Georgia, Indiana, New York and Pennsylvania, the company said.

Dick's shares recently were climbing nearly 2% in early Tuesday trading.
