Digital World Acquisition Says Court Won't Block Trump Media & Technology Group Shareholder Vote on Proposed Merger
Mar 11, 2024 7:54 AM

10:35 AM EDT, 03/11/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Digital World Acquisition ( DWAC ) said Monday that the Delaware Chancery Court has advised that it will not block the March 22 Trump Media & Technology Group shareholder vote on the companies' proposed merger.

Digital World said that on Saturday, the court held a hearing to decide the motion to expedite proceedings filed by United Atlantic Ventures, which had sued Trump Media to seek relief related to the authorization, issuance and ownership of stock in Trump Media.

"Vice Chancellor Sam Glasscock acknowledged that if any claims remained after the stockholder vote... the court would address those issues expeditiously," Digital World said.

Trump Media didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
