May 30, 2024 2:23 PM

05:14 PM EDT, 05/30/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Former US President Donald Trump was found guilty in a criminal hush money trial in a Manhattan courtroom Thursday.

A 12-person jury deliberated for more than nine hours on 34 counts of falsifying business records. Prosecutors said Trump's businesses paid $130,000 to his former lawyer Michael Cohen, who allegedly passed the money to Stormy Daniels to cover up Trump's alleged sexual encounter with the adult film star.
