10:58 AM EDT, 05/15/2024 (MT Newswires) -- DoorDash ( DASH ) has agreed to pay $75,000 to delivery worker applicants found to be illegally rejected by the company, New York Attorney General Letitia James announced Wednesday.
DoorDash ( DASH ) rejected about 3,000 applicants with criminal records without a fair assessment, in violation of state human rights and corrections laws and the New York City Fair Chance Act, James said.
The company has agreed to reevaluate the determinations for rejected applicants, revise its hiring policies and training and update notices to applicants that inform them of their rights under the Fair Chance Act.
DoorDash ( DASH ) did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
