Dow beats third-quarter profit estimates

Oct 24 (Reuters) - Chemical company Dow beat

third-quarter profit estimates on Thursday, helped by higher

demand for certain industrial items.

The company reported an adjusted profit of 47 cents per

share for the quarter ended Sept. 30, compared with analysts'

average estimate of 46 cents, according to data compiled by

LSEG.
