12:44 PM EST, 11/05/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Duke Energy ( DUK ) said Tuesday its utility Duke Energy Florida received approval from the state's Public Service Commission to lower customer bills in January 2025 as part of an annual fuel cost adjustment.
Residential customers using 1,000 kilowatt-hour will see a $9.77 reduction in their monthly bills sequentially, while commercial and industrial customers will experience bill decreases between 5.1% and 11.1%.
The utility plans to file storm cost recovery from hurricanes Debby, Helene, and Milton in December 2024, which may reflect on bills as early as March 2025.
