Easterly Government Properties Acquires Lease to Develop Crime Laboratory in Florida

09:43 AM EDT, 08/01/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Easterly Government Properties ( DEA ) said Friday it acquired a 25-year lease with two five-year extension options for a 64,000 square foot crime laboratory in Fort Myers, Florida.

The property will be leased to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and will include laboratories and a training center, the company said.

Work at the facility is likely to commence in Q3 and is expected to finish in H2 2026, the company said.
