01:20 PM EDT, 03/14/2024 (MT Newswires) -- EchoStar ( SATS ) said Thursday that it has completed the nationwide drive test for boost wireless network, fulfilling the last step of its 2023 deployment commitments to the Federal Communications Commission.

The company said it notified the FCC that its nationwide 5G network delivers download speeds of at least 35 megabits per second to more than 70% of the US population.

The drive test was carried out using an FCC-approved methodology and overseen by an independent monitor, the company added.

Shares of EchoStar ( SATS ) were more than 9% lower in recent trading activity.
