Eco Wave Power Signs Deal to Bring Wave Energy Technology to Taiwan

11:39 AM EDT, 10/07/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Eco Wave Power Global ( WAVE ) said Monday it signed a deal for the sale of the first wave energy generation unit with Lian Tat subsidiary I-Ke International Ocean Energy, to bring its wave energy technology to Taiwan.

I-Ke will provide the full financing for the 100KW pilot project by purchasing a turnkey conversion unit from Eco Wave, the company said. I-Ke has identified the location for the first pilot station on the east coast of Taiwan, along with an additional 83 potentially suitable sites, Eco Wave said.

I-Ke is also responsible for obtaining permits, land use consents and any licensing and approvals required to complete the installation of the planned wave energy projects.

Eco Wave shares were down nearly 2% in recent trading.
