05:09 AM EDT, 04/29/2024 (MT Newswires) -- EHang Holdings ( EH ) unveiled on Sunday a partnership with Guangzhou Greater Bay Technology Co. to develop "ultra-fast" charging/eXtreme fast charging battery products for EHang's ( EH ) electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft.

The companies plan to jointly develop eVTOL power cells, batteries, packs, charging piles, and energy storage systems that meet the airworthiness standards of the Civil Aviation Administration of China.

The duo also aims to develop a product that offers the so-called 4H standard -- high energy density, high cycle life, high instantaneous charge-discharge rate, and high safety. This will help in the "adaption and adoption of ultra-fast charging power batteries in EHang's ( EH ) eVTOL aircraft," the company said.

Financial details of the agreement weren't disclosed.
