Mar 31, 2025 1:19 AM

04:09 AM EDT, 03/31/2025 (MT Newswires) -- EHang ( EH ) said Sunday its Guangdong EHang General Aviation subsidiary and its Hefei HeYi Aviation joint venture company have been granted the first batch of air operator certificates for civilian pilotless aerial vehicles by the Civil Aviation Administration of China.

The company said the certification marks the beginning of China's low-altitude human-carrying pilotless flight era and will allow consumers to purchase flight tickets for tourism or commercial reasons from sites in Guangzhou and Hefei.

The company said operators will gradually expand to include urban commuting.

Shares of EHang ( EH ) gained 7.3% in premarket activity Monday.
