08:25 AM EDT, 03/16/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Eldorado Gold ( EGO ) said Monday it received operating authorization for the Ormaque deposit at the Lamaque Complex in Val-d'Or in Quebec, from the province's regulator.

The authorization allows the mining of high-grade underground gold ore for delivery to Eldorado's Sigma Mill, the company said.

Eldorado said it is also progressing studies to boost the throughput of Sigma Mill from its current capacity of 2,500 metric tons per day to its fully permitted capacity of 5,000.

The authorization was obtained from Quebec's Ministry of the Environment, the Fight Against Climate Change, Wildlife and Parks.
