11:46 AM EDT, 10/17/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Electrovaya ( ELVA ) said Thursday it received a CA$2 million ($1.5 million) funding from the Canadian government to support investments in automation, artificial intelligence and capacity upgrades at the company's manufacturing facility in Mississauga, Ontario.

The investment was made through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario, the company said.

Electrovaya ( ELVA ) shares were down 1.7% in recent trading.
