Emera, Tampa Electric, TECO Finance Ratings Affirmed at Moody's
May 30, 2024 10:26 AM

01:05 PM EDT, 05/30/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Moody's on Wednesday affirmed the ratings of Emera ( EMRAF ) , including its "Baa3" senior unsecured and issuer rating and "Ba2" subordinated debt rating, and Emera US Finance LP's guaranteed "Baa3" senior unsecured rating.

Additionally, the rating agency affirmed the ratings of Tampa Electric including its "A3" senior unsecured and issuer rating and "P-2" short-term rating for commercial paper, and the "Baa1" senior unsecured bank credit facility rating of TECO Finance Inc.

The rating outlooks for all four companies remain negative.

"Emera's ( EMRAF ) negative outlook reflects persistently weak financial metrics and our view that the announced sale of its ownership interest in Labrador-Island Link Limited Partnership (LIL LP, unrated) will be insufficient to improve financial metrics to a degree that supports the current Baa3 rating" Yulia Rakityanskaya, Moody's analyst, said.

Price: 46.90, Change: +0.57, Percent Change: +1.23

ICC Cricket World Cup Highlights: Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah help India reach semis and eliminate Bangladesh

India sailed into the Cricket World Cup semi-finals and eliminated opponents Bangladesh after Rohit Sharma's century and Jasprit Bumrah's four-wicket haul secured a 28-run victory over their neighbours on Tuesday. Rohit smashed his fourth century of this year's tournament and featured in a massive 180-run opening partnership with KL Rahul to help India to a commanding 314-9. Shakib Al Hasan struck a defiant 66 but the lack of partnerships hurt Bangladesh, who were all out for 286 in 48 overs with Bumrah (4-55) sealing the victory by claiming two wickets with the final two deliveries. India are now second with 13 points, one behind leaders Australia, and play Sri Lanka in their final group match on Saturday. Here are the key highlights of the match.
