05:31 PM EDT, 05/28/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Emergent BioSolutions ( EBS ) said Thursday it was awarded a contract modification valued at about $64.5 million from the US Department of Health and Human Services' Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response for BAT, its botulism antitoxin treatment.

The modification was made under an existing 10-year contract with ASPR under which Emergent supplies BAT for the treatment of symptomatic botulism following exposure to botulinum neurotoxin serotypes A through G.

The company said BAT is indicated for use in both adult and pediatric patients.

Emergent said the award supports US biodefense and preparedness priorities through its North American supply chain and medical countermeasure manufacturing capabilities.
